Government Required Coverage
Depending upon the circumstances, you may be eligible for unemployment compensation upon termination of employment. While the State Employment Division determines eligibility, Centratel pays the entire cost of this insurance program.
You are required by law to contribute to the Social Security trust fund from which benefits are paid. In addition, Centratel matches your contribution, thus paying one-half of the cost of your Social Security benefits. Be sure your paycheck accurately reflects your name and Social Security number.
All employees are entitled to workers’ compensation benefits in case of an on-the-job injury. If you cannot work due to a job-related injury or illness, workers’ compensation insurance pays your medical bills and provides a portion of your income until you can return to work. You and Centratel share this job-injury insurance cost.
