This month we spotlight a particularly exceptional member of our Telephone Service Representative (TSR) team: Linda Morgan, who has reached her 20 year anniversary with Centratel.

As our third most senior TSR, Linda consistently ranks among our top performers statistically, and is always deeply involved in training new staff.

Linda’s reliability, positive energy and operational knowledge are legendary within the office. And Linda’s demeanor on the phones is consistent and professional; her smile and laugh between calls is infectious.

Originally from Dorchester, Massachusetts, Linda is the mother of two and has two grandchildren all living close to her, here in Bend. She moved to Central Oregon in 1990, her mother and father had already lived here for a while. Her first job here was at JC Penny and then Coast to Coast, before coming to Centratel in 1997.

Why has Linda stayed with Centratel for two decades? She says, “good pay, bonuses and benefits.” Out of the office, Linda enjoys cycling and movies. She also visits the Oregon Coast, but if she could travel anywhere it would be to Australia. And her favorite part of the job here at Centratel? “Really helping people: many of our incoming calls involve critical situations, in some cases, life and death.”

Sam Carpenter, who founded Centratel 33 years ago, says,

When I arrive at the office in the morning and find Linda ‘on the phones,’ I feel special pride in the service we’ll be offering that day; confidence that the operation is running perfectly due to her presence. I especially feel gratitude that Linda chooses to work for me and has stayed with the company for two decades.

So, thank you Linda for your dedication and hard work day in and day out.
