There is one TSR position available. Below is a sample shift schedule.* (Note, this example is a “graveyard” shift and not typical of what is available.) What you can count on however, is working both Saturday and Sunday days or evenings, along with two or three days during the week. Our shifts are eight hours by five days, or ten hours by four days. Whatever your schedule, your two weekly days off will be together.

Although your first shift schedule may not be your exact preference, with your increasing seniority your preferred shift schedule will come with time because available shifts are awarded based on seniority.

Job Description:
Processing incoming calls for various businesses throughout the United States and right here in Central Oregon, the Telephone Service Representative (TSR) utilizes a specialized telephone system designed specifically for telephone answering services. Full training is provided. This is not a selling or “outbound calling” position. The clients we serve include service businesses, whose personnel are in the field and away from their business phones; medical and veterinary offices that often receive emergency patient calls after normal business hours and businesses that simply do not require an in-house receptionist.

Our offices are located on Greenwood Avenue in downtown Bend. We employ a staff of approximately 30 full time professionals. Our desire is to employ long-term, career people who will stay with the company for at least two years. We are looking for team players who want to work for a solid and reliable company that has been a part of Bend for 27 years. Staff Compensation rates are more than 50% higher than telephone answering service industry averages. These are full time positions: We do not hire part-time staff. Because expertise takes many months, we hire people whom we think will stay with the company long-term. Basic Requirements:

-Natural ability to communicate efficiently and courteously
-Empathetic and personable; professional demeanor
-Typing speed of at least 40WPM
-Aptitude for making correct decisions quickly and accurately
-Solid command of the English language. Literate in the spoken and written word
-Absolutely drug free. An initial drug screening test and subsequent random tests are given. If you use illegal drugs and somehow get through initial testing, your tenure with Centratel will be short as we drug test frequently and unannounced.

Wages and Benefits:
90 day introductory/probationary period. Hourly base pay starts at $11.00/hour, increased to $12.00/hour in 30 days. Subsequent increases are based 80% on performance and 20% on seniority. The beginning TSR is immediately eligible for additional monthly performance bonuses of up to 20% of hourly wages. (TSRs who have been with the company a year, earn bonuses up to 30% of hourly wages.) A majority of our TSR staff routinely earns these bonuses.

With performance bonuses and vacation allowances included (vacation allowance is paid on each paycheck, rather than accumulated), the average experienced TSR’s gross hourly wage is approximately $18.00 per hour. Beginning TSRs who earn the performance bonus are at the $15.00 to $16.00 per hour earning level.

The following benefits are available after the 90 day introductory period:
-Generous Paid Time Off “cash vacation allowance” policy, with two weeks earned in the first year. This benefit is paid as it is earned, on each paycheck
-Group health insurance – 80% employer paid
-Job security/seniority based on performance:  Many senior TSRs have been with Centratel for over five and up to nineteen years

Tue 8pm – 4am
Wed 8pm – 4am
Thu 6pm – 2am
Fri 8pm – 4am
Sat 8pm – 4am
